A Study Of The Relationship Between Social Media and Self-Esteem In Various Age Groups
CWSF · 2026 Health & Wellness
Overview
How does social media affect self-esteem in different age groups? We chose to study the relationship between social media and self-esteem in various age groups and many different relationships within the data involving social media and self-esteem. Our study is very interesting because it examines many different relationships within the data we received, and it is diverse and involves all age groups, unlike most popular studies, which usually focus on teenagers. We came up with our own rating system based on how people responded to six questions by assigning a number value (1-5) and then averaging all numbers and doubling it to account for our 1-10 scale. The formula used will be on our project directly. Our study is important because social media has become increasingly popular in all age groups, and the level it has developed to is honestly scary; this way, we can inform people of its effects.
