Overview
Kivalliq Hydro-Fiber Link The Kivalliq Hydro-Fiber Link is a project run by the Inuit owned company Nukik Corporation. This project is striving to connect Nunavut’s region of Kivalliq to the power grid of Manitoba. In Gillam, MB there is four hydroelectric plants, so instead of building our own plant they propose we run Fiber link cables to Nunavut. This Fiber link will help Nunavut communities like Arviat, Rankin Inlet, Baker Lake,and the Meliadine (Meadowbank Mines).
