Don't Burst My Bottle!
CSEF · 2023 Materials Science Honorable_mention Award
Overview
Americans alone put more than 45 billion plastic water bottles into landfills every year. Edible water bottles could help reduce that number, but they are not very durable. So I wanted to find out: How can you create the most durable edible water bottle? In this project, I measured this by finding how much weight it takes to burst each edible water sphere. The sphere that can withstand the most weight will be the most durable one.
