I think if we use natural things like aloe vera gel and coconut oil it would be better for your lips because it doesn't have other chemicals.

We are trying to figure out what lip balm is best for your lips. Like how fast your lips absorb the lip balm, how long it takes until we have to reapply the lip balm. A key word we have is menthol which is like something minty which is also bad for your lips

Vaseline: includes petroleum jelly which is good for your lips. Also includes glycerin which protects your lips.

will change the different types of lip balms and see how they spread.

We will use a timer to see how long it takes for each

We will change the type of lip balms we have ( we have different ones)

1. Start a five minute timer

2. Apply lip balm onto blotting paper

3. Take a before picture

4. Stop timer

5. Analyze the results

6. Take an after picture

7. Observe the paper

8. Write down what we see

9. Do the same thing two more time with the same lip balm.

Observations:/Notes when we tested the nivea the oil seemed to have separated from the lip balm itself this means that it has a lot of oils in it which is good because the oils that are in this lip balm are good for your lips (avocado oil, jojoba oil).

Observations/Notes: I have noticed that the oil did separated a bit from the lip balm,and it absorbed quickly, so i am guessing that there aren't large amounts of oil in this lip balm.

As vaseline is a thick substance it will not absorb quickly.

There is a lot of oil in Burts Bees lip balm but i wonder why its not separated or spread.

Observations/Notes: I have noticed that although Coconut oil is oil itself but still it didn’t absorbed fast.

Most of the lip balms were oily and oil got separated. All of the lip balms have no particular fragrance. I have noticed that lip balms are better for your lips than lip glosses because lip balms do not have coloring added to them. Most lip balms do not have fragrance added to them.Also a lot of lip glosses have artificial flavoring but lip balms do not.

My question was:

The answer to my question is:

Aloe vera

My hypothesis was correct because: we said natural things like aloe vera gel or coconut oil will be the best for your lips and we were right.

People who have dry, chapped and cracked lips who don't know what lip balm can fix these lips can benefit from our research. People who also are curious about lip balms can benefit from our research.

Our research can help people to choose the best lip balms according to there skin condition and they don’t have to go through trial and tests.

think we should have used the same amount of lip product so we can get more precise and specific results than we have gotten right now.

Secondly, we could also research on harmful ingredients and fragrance used in the lip balms.
