Overview

The purpose of this experiment is to find out which of alternative energy can produce more power under the same circumstances. I wanted to see which element, wind or water, at the same rate of speed will produce more power. How i went about doing this is i started building two turbines, one made for wind and one made for water. I then applied each element to their respective turbines. I will be using a weather proof anemometer to ensure each element is applied to their turbine at the same rate of speed. Once each element was applied to their turbine, i used a voltage meter to measure the amount of volts produced. I then ran the same exact test measuring how many amperes each turbine produced. I recorded all of my data in my data project notebook. After i found my total volts and amperes i used the formula wattage equals volts times amps to measure my total power output. From this i drew my conclusion. My conclusion was that although they were similar results, my wind turbine produced more power at the same rate of speed as water.
