An Examination on the Factors that Contribute to Egg-laying of Cephaloscyllium ventriosum or Pacific Swell Shark

Overview
The question to be answered is what water quality parameters contribute to the greatest amount of fertile Cephaloscyllium ventriosum eggs being laid. The main objective was to record how many eggs were being laid, when they were being laid, and of them how many were fertile. Along with that, recording different water quality parameters(water temperature, Ammonia, pH) and eventually see how they correlate. Even though this research is still ongoing, with the data collected so far, there was a correlation between water temperature in captivity and the amount of fertile eggs laid Peaking at 15.5°C. There was a slight correlation between ammonia and the amount of fertile eggs laid and there was no correlation between pH and the amount of fertile eggs laid.
