The Use of Bacteria from Soil of Sweihan Area to Clean up Wastewater
ISEF · 2014 Plant Sciences
Overview
Our environment is under constant pressure and threats from various pollution sources. Science is in a unique position to offer new and effective solutions to these real-life issues, such as the use of specialized bacteria are emerging as important input which can be used to get rid of the effectiveness of organic pollutants in wastewater. Students will participate in the preparation of experiments with some strains of bacteria and new classes of contaminants and determine whether these compounds can be decomposed by bacteria also.
