The Transformation of Household Waste into Combustible Briquettes

ISEF · 2021 Earth and Environmental Sciences

Overview

We live in a world where, despite various awareness campaigns, deforestation are rife. Our project aims to find a fuel from waste that can compete with traditional fuels (charcoal, logs, etc.) thus helping to fight against deforestation and regenerate the environment. We manufacture combustible briquettes based on household waste, more specifically cardboard, paper and other wood waste. These briquettes have a calorific value of 14 to 20 kj / kg and a moisture content of less than 10%, thus reducing the excessive felling of trees while regenerating the environment.
