Survivors Seeking Device
ISEF · 2015
Overview
Disasters are serious disruptive events that occur suddenly and unexpectedly causing in permanent changes to human societies, ecosystems and environment. It may be impossible to avoid disasters, but it isn't impossible to plan ahead of time so as to minimize the impact that disasters might have on the people. When struck by a catastrophic disaster, emergency rescue operation is very critical to many lives. Many people trapped in the disastrous areas under collapsed buildings or landslides may have a large chance to survive if they are rescued. Rescue teams must find and save many people that are lost, buried or trapped; seconds can mean the difference between life and death. Use Micro-controller circuits that will transmit radio signals to lead rescue teams to the location of the survivors. A micro-controller is programmed to transmit a radio wave signal if a heart sensor detects any heart beats where the receiver produces an SOS light signal if detected within a certain radius. Compared to other techniques used in finding survivors this project is very cheap and reliable to use.
