Sensor Notification System for Tail-Light Failure
ISEF · 2021 Embedded Systems
Overview
In the United States forty percent (2.4 million) of all six million accidents a year on average are caused by rear end collisions. Given these statistics our mission is to design a system that indicates the driver of a vehicle whenever their lights go out on their car by turning on a light on their dashboard of each system. We are using arduino system with photoresistors to detect light or the absence of it to tell the LEDs connected to a breadboard if it should turn on or not. Whenever a tail light, reverse light, or brake light does not go off, then the lights on the dashboard will turn off indicating that the tail light is off.
