Salt Cedar, and Its Effects on the Mojave River
CSEF · 2003 Environmental Engineering
Overview
Objectives/Goals To find if Salt Cedar trees effect the salinity of the Mojave River. Methods/Materials Standard method; go to study sites, and collect Total Dissolved Solids information, using a Hanna brand handheld water quality device. Results When the river's Total Dissolved Solids is compared to a small puddle of water, directly effected by Salt Cedar trees, the Mojave River's salinity raised, and fell at the exact same dates. Conclusions/Discussion Yes, my hypothesis is correct, because of the rises and falls in the data, on the exact same dates.
Summary statement
