Reducing the Viscosity of Crude Oil Using Environmental Materials
ISEF · 2024 Chemistry
Overview
Our project about reducing crude oil viscosity through transporting pipes. We brought four samples of crude oil for each sample we added either date kernal or palm leaf or DRA the fourth sample we did not add any substance we mixed each sample using magnetic mixer then we measured the viscosity we found oil with palm leaf had the least viscosity while oil with date kernal and that with DRA had almost the same viscosity the highest viscosity was for crude oil with no additive. We concluded that palm leaf is the best for reduction of crude oil viscosity.
