Redesigning a CNC Router for Small-Scale Manufacturing
AJAS · 2025 Robotics and Intelligent Machines (inferred)
Overview
A CNC Router is a manufacturing machine that is computer controlled and used in both industrial and certain small-scale use cases. My project aims to design and build a precise and affordable CNC router that can expand on the availability of these machines for Small-scale Manufacturing. This process involved many iterations of design, multiple hours of assembly, and hundreds of parts used. As I encountered problems with the design, I redesigned and purchased specific parts to solve them. The end result of my project was a functional CNC Router that can be used for a range of materials and creates repeatable, precise products.
