Overview

I will be researching the element radon, and taking radon levels from houses in High River, and the surrounding area

Problem

What are the levels of radon in the High River area, and are they dangerous?

Method

1. Get radon monitor (from Mr. Kroeker).

2. Make list of houses to test (twelve houses).

3. Test houses one by one (at least 6 hours in each house).

4. Gather averages for quadrants. (NW, SW, SE, NE quadrants of High River).

Research

There are various levels of dangerous radon recommended by different sources. Health Canada: 200 Bg/m^3, World Health Organization: 100-300 Bq/m^3, and the United States: 148 Bq/m^3
