Objectives/Goals Find what type of house foundation:rubber, coil, or cement will absorbe the shock givin off by an earthquake and survive in the best strucutural condition. Methods/Materials Earthquake Simulator from company Pitsco that follows the Rictor scale . 4 model houses,4 foundations, power tools, nails, ect. Results Rubber foundation absorbed earthquake shock and remained in perfect structural condition. Conclusions/Discussion Earthquake simulator has flaws at the higher settings.
