Non-Chemical Methods of Sterilizing Water

CSEF · 2002 Environmental Engineering

Overview

Objectives/Goals My experiment tested the effectiveness of non-chemical water sterilization processes.I believed that non-chemical methods could be just as effective as the standard methods (chlorine). Methods/Materials I sterilized samples of lake water using the various non-chemical methods; then I streaked them into petri dishes. Results I discovered that most of the methods were sucsessful in killing bacteria Conclusions/Discussion My hypothesis was correct becuase several of the methods were sucsessful in killing bacteria. If i did this experiment again I would also test chlorine.
