Overview

The aim of my project was to create the program which can help the blind and people with cp use mobile phones by themselves. This program makes possible to manage mobile phones by gestures. First of all, the blind and people with cp can use mobile phones(call, send graphical messages). I decided to do the research in this direction because it is really necessary. People with visual defects an cp do not have to limit their social requires. I explored all possible ways in managing mobile phones and I chose gestures. I did the research with blind people and people with cp and came to conclusion that their gestures reflect their thoughts and desires and selected the best recognition algorithm. This algorithm includes four main gestures for navigation in the menu. This is a voiced menu. Voice hints are open and can be changed by any recorder in any language or can be disabled.Using them in definite consequence you can perform such actions as:dial the number from the contact list,add the number to the list,send a graphic message,record a voice message.It has additional functions as an alarm and player. Also there is a function of color recognition which voices the color of an image received from the camera. As a result, people who couldn't use mobile phones before,made it possible to dial the number on their own.
