Nesting Behavior of Baya Weaver (Aves: Ploceidae): Implications for Local Conservation Practice

Overview
The purposes of this research to explore the species of weaver bird that live in the locality. To study local environmental factors that affect to living behavior of weaver bird. To study the behavior of leaving the nest and deserted nest structure of weaver bird. By searched for information and explored the type of weaver bird in locality which found that many weaver birds found in the locality were Baya Weaver (P. philipinus) which the living of weaver birds depend on the environmental factors from the habitat made a nest in an environment with big trees, near the canal or water source. Its eat both plants and animals. When the female spawn, the male bird will leave the female actors to hatch eggs and raise the baby birds until they mature, the male bird then builds a nest to breed with the new female birds until the breeding season ends. For the living behavior of weaver bird, found that weaver bird made a nest during March to October which has two nesting structures structures : a nest like a hat with a central strap and the bulb shape has one hole in and out, long funnel. The weaver birds had different periods of living in the nest depends on the abundance and environmental factors in each area . Therefore used to observe the structure of deserted nest which is the conservation of local weaver birds without affecting the life of weaver bird and it’s a balance of nature and the local environment.
