Medical Rehabilitation: Sensors and Monitoring -Monitoring Devices
ISEF · 2016
Overview
Our paper presents a solution in monitoring the process of patients carrying out medical rehabilitation procedures designed especially for the upper member: the hand and the fingers. We present different aspects: the theoretical aspects and the experimental aspects, the practical experiment and the technological aspects (the Piezoelectric sensors we use, the silicone rubber we used in the first phase) Our main monitoring device and that which is in the phase in which tests on patients can be carried out is the Sensor-Glove. Apart from this, we are also working on the Sensor-Cylinder, which is designed for circular motions and also tests the holding abilities of the patients. Until now, tests with our devices were made not only with us (the members of the team), but also with patients at the National Medical Rehabilitation Institute.
