Innovated Faucet Socket for Water Taps

ISEF · 2024 Engineering Technology: Statics & Dynamics

Overview

This is an innovated version of Tap Faucet. We use taps to fulfill our water requirements. In schools, garments, offices, homes, etc. In those places, few taps are connected to a single gate valve. As an example, in schools there are five or six taps fixed together to a single gate valve. During the interval period about 200-300 students wash their hands using those taps which are connected to a single gate valve. Not only in schools, it is common in hotels, garments, public places, etc. In those places when one water tap is broken, we need to close the gate valve. When we close the gate valve, the water supply stops for the other taps because they are connected through one gate valve. If we do not close the gate valve, water is wasted leaking from broken tap. Not only in that situation, when we need to repair a tap, we need to close the main gate valve for that. In that situation the water supply stops for other water equipment/sections. When one tap is broken or needs to repair, we need to close the gate valve, and water supply stops for other water equipment or taps that are connected through that gate valve. This is a common problem. If we use my invention, when the tap is broken/repairing we do not want to close the gate valve. We just need to remove the tap from the faucet Socket, the water supply through the faucet socket is automatically blocked/cut off after removing the tap by Innovated faucet socket. When removing the tap the water supply is automatically blocked by the mechanism inside the innovated faucet socket. This new invention can be used anywhere that a faucet is used. Some of the advantages of new invention are easy to use, saves water, money and time. This is a low cost product and anyone can handle it easily.
