Energy Efficient Light Bulbs
Overview
This research paper is about which light bulb is the most efficient. The hypothesis was that the LED bulb would be the most efficient and cost the smallest amount annually. An experiment was conducted to find out how much wattage an incandescent, CFL, halogen, and LED bulb used. The material used were a lamp, wattmeter, incandescent bulb, CFL bulb, halogen bulb, and an LED bulb. Each light bulb was screwed into the lamp separately and the watts were measure using the wattmeter. The LED bulb used the lowest amount of watts, resulting in a smaller kilowatt-hour, which results in an electricity bill that isn’t as expensive compared to the use of other light bulbs. The LED bulb had the longest average lifespan and proved to be more efficient than the other bulbs tested.
