Effect of Aquaspirillum itersonii and Aquaspirillum serpens on Duckweed
ISEF · 2021 Microbiology
Overview
It is known that bacteria can have a relationship with vegetation. The question is, does the bacteria in our common water help sustain the plant life around it. The purpose of this experiment is to discover the importance of the bacteria Aquaspirillum itersonii and Aquaspirillum serpens on the plant duckweed. To find out if they have any effect at all, we placed two ounces of duckweed into four aquariums with different bacteria and environments. After eight weeks the bacteria Aquaspirillum Itersonii increased the plants growth more than the other and control groups.
