Breaking Isolation: Medical Software Platform Utilizing Beneficial Medical Terms for Patients Without Sufficient Health Care Service

Overview
This platform aims to assist rare disease patients without medical support in managing their conditions. Due to COVID-19, online platforms have become popular for managing illnesses, but these platforms are complicated for both rare disease patients and caregivers. Also, while medical systems or insurance policies may assist patients, their application processes need to be clarified, making it difficult to benefit from them. Therefore, this research aims to create a platform that enables rare disease patients to manage their illnesses more effectively and utilize the medical system. The platform provides disease and symptom management designed for both physicians and caregivers. Patients or caregivers can record symptoms and add descriptions and attachments relevant to symptoms, and doctors can make diagnoses based on the recorded symptoms. Another key feature is the automated insurance application. Our platform simplifies the complex process with symptoms and diagnoses already recorded, allowing doctors to apply to the relevant institution from anywhere through video calls. During submission, doctors can use a digital signature to certify themselves. These functions enable rare disease patients to manage their illnesses more efficiently and access medical systems they have not previously known. An increase in application counts will show the accurate statistics of patients excluded earlier, solving problems caused by counting the number of rare disease patients based on the number of applicants. As a result, government, medical institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and others can invest more actively in treating rare diseases, providing rare disease patients with a better quality of life in the long term.
