Avionic Engine Supremacy
ISEF · 2017 Engineering Mechanics
Overview
By modifying a number of compressors within the engine, there was a way to preserve performance and save fuel. The implementation of additional compressors compressed the air, even more, thus making it easier to ignite. This means less fuel can be injected into the engine to ignite the compressed air. This method saves fuel and could save considerable margins of money since aircraft won't have to be refueled as often.
