Anti-Shake for Sky Scrapers
ISEF · 2018 Energy: Physical
Overview
Earthquake is a violent shaking of the ground, typically it can cause great destruction. Earthquakes are among the most catastrophic natural disasters to affect mankind. One of the critical problems after an earthquake is building damage assessment. Earthquake result from releasing of energy in the earth's tectonic plates that creates seismic waves.it can size from so weak that cannot be felt to violent enough to destroy a city. The purpose of our project is to save people from earthquakes, save money and create buildings that are more secure, this project can be applied to skyscrapers by creating swimming pool at the roof of the skyscrapers which reduce the movement and putting a net around the swimming pool and the benefit of the net is reducing the speed of the water and also make the water move in linear motion. These days people are creating swimming pool on the rooftop of the buildings so we thought why don’t we make that swimming pool an anti-shake to so it can benefit us two ways first one is that it can resist the damage of earthquake second one is that you can swim in it and enjoy it without being afraid of earthquake.
